i liked it because i didn't need very much help with it.

This book is about a bee who wants to be let inside this little boys house, but the boy is scared because he has only heard bad things about bees. The bee explained to him that bees are not bad, and without them we wouldn’t have plants, or fruits. The colorful illustrations make the book very fascinating and attractive for young ones.I give this book 5 stars. “If it weren’t for us bees, why the plants would be gone. No more peaches. No cherries. No trees to climb on” (pg. 5). This book d [...]

If bees become extinct, all living things on earth will die soon after. Does this scare you or terrify you? If not, it should. This is a wonderful true picture book about the importance of bees. The illustrations are colorful and inviting and the motion included in the book is fun. Author Elle J. McGuinness gives it to us straight but sweet enough for young readers to get the point and take interest in saving bees. I encourage everyone to heed the warning in this book and spread the word.Illustr [...]

Cool pictures and the hologram thingies really catch my son's attention. Nice story about the importance of bees. but it sort of falls short - and definitely ends abruptly. Doesn't really "pull you in." Just relies on its message and pictures - not the story. There is a section after the story with more "bee facts" which is nice, but to me it seemed a bit incongruent with the age group the story was directed at. Could just be me of course. And with the cost for a new copy being over $15 can't re [...]

I love this book! It is a valuable message told in a cute way. Easy to understand for little ones but also gives more information for the slightly older child. The art is pleasant without being over whelming or simplistic. I love the motion panels! However, they were a little difficult to use & see. I highly recommend this book & will likely buy a copy for my personal library. <3

A nice story about a young boy and his dog's encounter with a bee. Of course the young boy was scared to get stung but communication between him and the bee creates a better understanding. Moving visuals within the pages are provided which was a nice added touch to the reading experience. The children enjoyed the story and especially the visuals during preschool storytime.

Bee & Me is an engineered book that is great to introduce kids to environmental issues and how the bee is important to life. An extension activity could be to have students do some research on the bee's life cycle and then illustrate it with a creative foldable.

  • Marlee

The pictures in this book are what really make it great. The story is cute and nice especially if you have a child who is afraid of bees. But the moving pictures is what makes the book so fun for children.

  • Amanda

My friend Heather is the illustrator.

  • Travis

I love the interaction part that is included in the book. The pictures are great and goes along with the story.

  • Stacy

This is a cute book with moving pages that teaches kids the important role Bees play in the environment.

  • Jerry Hillyer

I enjoyed this book. I read it to my students after we went to a presentation about bees and bee keeping at our school. I love the movement in the book created by some of the pictures. Good story.

  • Miss Sarah

Love the moveable pictures in this book. Went better with older audiences. About a bee who gets trapped in a window by a boy and teaches the boy all of the great things bees do.

  • Liliana

    Fun to read.
