Rory would definitely want to get naked this weekend, Sophie thought. []"Sorry, Rory, but it's the wrong time of the month."Lame. Besides, some guys didn't care. And he might even use it against her and remind her that the chances of her getting pregnant were nil.Hold it, WHAT? So, a) we're perpetrating myth here (chances are nil of getting pregnant when you have your period? let's go back to Biology class, please), b) she'd be willing to have unprotected sex with a guy she asked three questions [...]

I really dislike giving negative reviews. That being said, here goes. I really do like Sophie and her story. It is actually a great story line but there are just too many times within this book that the author confuses one character for another. I counted at least 6 times where the author means to say Sophie and instead put her sister Lucy in there instead. The same also happened when she inadvertently mixed up Chase, Reid and Lance on more than one occasion.I like the story, I really do but wit [...]

books that have female characters who were 'former' strippers/showgirls don't bode well. i have yet to find an author who can manage writing them without coming off sexist in some way or just doing it terribly. it's such a waste because it's such an interesting topic i was really hoping the author would step up to the plate (in the end, that did not happen). the premise was so interesting because sophie was a public figure with a tv show who used to be a showgirl. her past was the most interesti [...]

Fun took description from someone else's review Local talk show host Sophie Lane has a major crush on her best friend Maddie's older brother, Lance Summers. Sophie and Maddie devise a plan for Sophie to get a date with Lance. Sophie arranges for Lance to be a quest on her show during a reenactment of the Dating Game. She also rigs the game so she knows which seat Lance will be in so she can pick him. Unfortunately, Lance overhears the plan and foils it by changing seats with another contestant [...]

The author hooked me into this story right from the start. Sophie hosted a talk show dating game and her on-going crush with her best friend’s brother forced her to sabotage the production by organizing that her friend’s brother be chosen as the winner. Except he found out and changed spots with a smarmy, love-sick loser who Sophie was now forced to share the glamorous romantic weekend she had planned with Lance in mind. Imagine everything in her suitcase chosen with the man she loved as her [...]

I'm not sure why there is the need for everyone to have terrible parents? Or why there is naked beaches / colonies, edible/ crouch less underwear etc but again caveman views on sex? Men can have a different one night stand every night of the week, but if a woman even looks at a man baaddd!! Anything not vanilla is perverted?? Argh no, just NO!! I'm bit wanting to read the 3rd but have it already downloaded :/ hmm what to do?!?

FUNNY, FUNNY, FUNNY! I LOVED THIS ONE THE BEST IN THE SERIES, LANCE & SOPHIE'S STORY WAS THE BEST. ONLY TWO THING I DISLIKED, WAY TO MUCH TRAVEL LOG OF SAVANNAH AND I REALLY HATED LUCY, SOPHIE'S LITTLE SISTER. LUCY WAS CHILDISH AND MEAN, AT LEAST LANCE AND HIS BROTHERS WERE JUST KINDA LOONEY TUNES AT TIMES, NOT MEAN. I WAS GLAD WHEN EVERYTHING SHE TRIED TO MESS UP HER SISTER'S RELAIONSHIP FAILED BIG TIME. HIDING THINGS THAT SHOULD BE DISCUSSED ALWAYS LEADS TO DISASTER.

I enjoyed this book but I liked Marry Me Maddie better. Sleepless in Savannah is about Lance (Maddie's brother) and Sophie (Maddie's best friend). While this was a good story I eventually grew tired of the communication issues and thought everything could have been worked out much sooner and with less angst.

It was good. At first I didn't care for the way Lance was acting and his views on women and their motives. I also didn't care for the way Sophie believed she could have happiness as long as she kept her past hidden. It was a change from what I usually read. I do like the author so I am sure I will read more from her.

  • Andrea

The women are always "teetering" instead of walking. The men are constantly "fisting" their hands a word that has a whole other connotation that I suspect the author doesn't know. And why are the men continually "claiming" a woman's mouth instead of kissing her? Someone get this author a thesaurus.

This book was about 100 pages too long. It had some good plot moments, such as the dating show and Lucy starting up Sleepovers. However, other scenes could have been laugh out loud funny, but were lacking, leaving me to wonder what the point of the scene was. And in that case, it could have been left out completely.

Totally cheese romance novel. I picked it up on a beach vacation and it was just that- a very beach-type read. Mindless reading, but fun, I guess.

  • Laura

Looked like it would be fun, but just too predictable, characters too stereotypical and a bit dated. Wanted to finish because I don't like not finishing a book, but not much I can recommend.

  • Tammy

Cute light easy read, that was fun continuation from Marry Me Maddie. I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Lots of steamy sex in this one. Will be looking for more from Rita.

  • Jamie Gripp segreto

I had read Marry Me, Maddie, so I looked forward to the second book in the Bachelor Pact series. I enjoyed their story and appreciated the fact that the author didn't have her characters caught up forever in ridiculous misunderstandings that no one straightens out. What bothered me was too much recapping from the first book. I realize she was helping readers who started with book two but it made the story bog down terribly. Imo, tell them enough and if they want to know the reader will go find t [...]

Marry Me Maddie had better pacing and character development. It felt like the characters kept repeating themselves in this one and it became monotonous for the reader. I'd have been happier with a shorter story and not having so much information repeated (after 3 times the reader didn't forget in the next chapter)

  • Megan

    Good book!

  • Dorel

In this book there are only a few things I liked. I liked Lance's character I think he was too good for Sophie. Sophie's dating show reminded me of the show Love Connection. Some of the dialogue made me laugh. I think characters & the story line could have been better.

  • Kathy

Definitely a funny, romantic comedy thrill ride. Take a determined confirmed bachelor and a strong, sexy TV Talk Show Host running from her past, add a scheming best friend and meddlesome little sister and you have romantic chaos! I loved Lance and Sophie's story! I laughed out loud at times.

  • Jessica

Fun, light, cute beach read. Love a good romance/chick lit novel!

  • Sandra

    good bookeasy read

  • Katie

this book was good, although I did feel that the author didn't give enough emotion during, what I would think would be major emotional points for anybody. the characters were great.

  • Lindy

    Book 34327 pages

  • Michele

Cute story. I liked the plotline of avoiding being picked on the dating show and the concept of the balloons for the dates. Sometimes the dialogue seemed a little awkward.

  • Margaret

Loved it. My favorite Rita Herron book so far. Full of steamy romance and humor.

  • Leanne

    Great fun read!
